Follicular phase coconut-ashwagandha fudge

Ashwagandha is a great adaptogen that helps your body adapt to stress. It also boosts fertility, memory function, and energy, which is great for the very active high-energy follicular phase. Cinnamon is great for circulation and warming of the system. The fudge is satisfying, and decadent, and doesn’t have any refined sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted

  • 1/4 cup coconut butter

  • 1/4 cup nut butter (go big and add pumpkin seed butter for seed cycling in follicular!)

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cacao powder

  • 1/4 shredded coconut

  • 1 Tbsp cacao nibs

  • 1 Tbsp ashwagandha powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 Tbsp water

  • Sea salt to sprinkle on top

Instructions

Combine the dates, coconut butter, nut butter, cacao powder, shredded coconut, cacao nibs, ashwagandha, cinnamon, oil, and vanilla in a food processor. Srape sides as needed until smoother.

Add water (with machine running or not), until dough forms.

Press dough into a parchment paper-lined tuberware or pirex. Pressing down with parchment paper on top until its 1/4-1/2” thick.

Place in freezer for an hour, pull out and cut into cubes.

Store in fridge or freezer.
